Three titles change hands, Ryan Idol changes tune

I heard, by the way, from my good, good friend and Fabio look-a-like (he thinks) regarding the breakup of Kimberly Adrian and her longtime love of 13-plus years, as reported in another paper. Seems this is all untrue, according to a "seething mad" Kimberly! You can get the real dirt in this column. I don't have to lie to write a column ... just ask Chase Hunter.
Ryan Idol now has a video, Idol Country, where he actually does "it" with another guy. Just when we thought this would never happen-the money must have been right. The photo here is from a past appearance at Numbers, just a coupl'a girls looking to have some fun.
Mr. Gay Cleveland Northcoast was held at the Interbelt nightclub in Akron on November 6. Sponsored by MTM Productions (Melissa-Twiggy-Mark), it featured six contestants this night. Things got off to a bumpy start with microphone problems, not to mention myself and good, good friend Kevin getting booted from our table. Everyone was invited to sit at tables that were reserved and had "no-shows." Well, don't cha know, the no-shows showed... and they were not happy! The rule goes if you reserve a table you are expected to be there at the start of the pageant or you will lose your table. No need to get ugly!
The contestants were Jason Lau, Patrick, Shawn Paul, Steven Pittman, James, and Kyle. The categories were evening wear, swimsuit, and talent. The evening was highlighted with performances by Melissa Ross, Twiggy, Sheila Davis (Miss Gay Cleveland Northcoast), along with Pappy Mitchell, the current reigning Mr. Gay Cleveland Northcoast, and Keri Nichols making a toobrief appearance in the talent segment for
Jason Lau. Patrick thrilled the crowd with his Harry Connick Jr. impersonation, while Jason looked fab as Jim Morrison.
Patrick will be the new Mr. Gay Cleveland Northcoast. Jason Lau was first runner-up, and Shawn Paul the second.
The Miss Big and Beautiful National Pageant was held at U4ia in Cleveland on November 10 and 11. I happened to catch it on the final day. This night there were four semi-finalists: Kari Nichols, Desiré, Coco Starr and Chase Manhattan. Guest performers were recent titlewinner Miss Ohio Great Lakes Jennifer Phillips, Miss Gay Cleveland USA Chante Seville, Miss Gay Akron USA Tasha James, and Dana Mills.
Emcee for the ceremonies was the ever talkative and engaging Melissa Ross. Good thing, for there were many delays in the show calling for Melissa's many talents, although at one point it did seem to be the "Melissa Ross Show." But a good time was had by all.
Category winners were Coco Starr, for talent, congeniality, and wearing a tie for evening wear; and Desiré, who locked up interview, daywear and presentation.
Coco Starr won the event, with Desiré first runner-up, Chase Manhattan second runnerup, and Kari Nichols third.
Well, if you caught my last column regarding no recent sightings of Miss Gay Cleveland Northcoast Sheila Davis, everyone can now rest assured, she has now been seen at many a pageant of late. Good to see her back!
Miss Ohio USA was held at U4ia (where else!) on November 18, to a very large and appreciative house, with anyone who was anyone being there. (You weren't there? ... Hello!) This was a two day pageant with the selection of the semi-finalists on Friday. Fifteen contestants entered: Indigo Diamond, Rae Addison, Sable Van Kane, Linda Lacy,

Roxie Hart, the current reigning Miss Ohio USA performed along with Carla Visconte, Coco (Miss Gay USA), and Denise Russell to name a few. The ever popular and wild Maxi Houston shocked the house with her pasties flying all over the stage. This was a very tough competition, talent was espe-

cially fierce with Rosita Estefan doing an amazing number from Sunset Boulevard, Paige Turner heating things up (with Simone Baker/Bobby Beech backing her up), and Jennifer Phillips, who is always fabulous. Denise Russell served as emcee, with Melissa Ross and Dene Matthews being among the slew of judges.
Anyhoo, Andrea Michaels won, with Paige Turner, Christine Saunders, Ashley Simone, and Tasha James as first through fourth runners-up.
